How do I connect Salesforce to Pylon?

Navigate to the App Directory from your Pylon dashboard and click on the Salesforce integration to follow the setup instructions. Accounts are mapped using domain and name matching between Salesforce and Pylon by default, though the integration can also be configured to match on custom Pylon account fields. For recommended permissions, Pylon suggests using a dedicated integration user

What data syncs between Salesforce and Pylon?

The Salesforce integration is bidirectional. Pylon scans your customer channels daily and uses AI to summarize conversations, syncing those summaries to the relevant Account in Salesforce. You can also sync fields either from Pylon to Salesforce or from Salesforce to Pylon. Synced fields are then available across all Pylon features like filters in views, triggers, and macros. New contacts who join a channel are also automatically added to Salesforce and linked to the relevant Account.

Can I create Slack channels for customers directly from Salesforce?

Yes. Pylon's Salesforce widget lets you click "Create Slack Channel" from within a Salesforce record, name the channel, and Pylon will automatically handle the rest, including channel setup and customer onboarding. You can also send Broadcasts to customer segments based on Salesforce data or filter Pylon issues by any Salesforce attribute

How often does Pylon sync data with Salesforce?

Pylon matches accounts using domain and name by default, with account mappings viewable and updatable in the Account Mapping tab. Syncing occurs several times a day, pulling defined attributes from Salesforce into the respective Pylon objects.

Can I send customer Broadcasts based on Salesforce data?

Yes. You can send a Broadcast to a set of customers based on data stored in Salesforce, and you can view and filter Pylon Issues by any attributes from Salesforce. Salesforce fields synced into Pylon are available as filters across Views, Triggers, and Macros throughout the platform.
