Why teams use it

Deploy AI agents that handle questions end-to-end, gather context for your team, and escalate to humans when it matters.

Connect support tickets to live incidents

Attach the right Rootly incident to any Pylon issue directly from the sidebar, so support and on-call teams share one view of what customers are experiencing.

Find and link incidents without leaving the ticket

Search existing Rootly incidents from the issue view and attach them in a click, or spin up a brand-new incident when one doesn't exist yet.

Report on incident impact across your tickets

Build views filtered by a specific incident and run analytics on how many tickets are associated with it, giving you a clear picture of customer blast radius.

Escalate automatically with triggers

Set up trigger actions to create a new Rootly incident when conditions are met so nothing slips through.

How to install
Step 1
Open the Apps Directory

Go to the Apps Directory page in your Pylon dashboard and click into the Rootly app. Note that you must be a Rootly administrator to complete setup.

Step 2
Connect Rootly

Click Connect on the Rootly app, then log in to Rootly and create a role for your API token — or reuse an existing role with the required configuration.

Step 3
Add your API token

Create an API token in Rootly and paste it into Pylon to finish connecting the two systems.

Step 4
Link issues to incidents

From the issue sidebar, use the Rootly module to search for and attach an existing incident, or create a new one on the spot.

Frequently asked questions
Can I attach a Rootly incident to a Pylon issue?

Yes. From the Rootly module in the issue sidebar, you can search existing incidents and attach the right one, or create a new incident directly from the ticket.

Can Pylon create Rootly incidents automatically?

Yes. You can set up trigger actions that create a new Rootly incident when specific conditions are met, such as an issue being escalated or reaching a certain status.

Can I report on which tickets are tied to incidents?

Yes. Once issues are linked, you can build views filtered by a specific incident and run reporting and analytics on how many tickets are associated with incidents.

Do I need special permissions to set this up?

Yes. You must be a Rootly administrator to complete the integration, since setup requires creating a role and generating an API token in Rootly.
